Would you like a break after a morning’s shopping on the most elegant avenue in the whole of Paris? With a ray of sunshine on the horizon, are you dreaming of a lush, intimate area al fresco where you can catch your breath again? What better place could there be than La Terrasse Montaigne! Comfortably seated in the shade of the red blinds that are the Plaza Athénée’s signature feature, you’ll be all ready to succumb to the wide selection of culinary delights available on this fashionable al fresco terrace.
This year, La Terrasse Montaigne boasts a number of new dishes, just waiting for your seal of approval. Try the Mini-Burgers with Grilled Tofu, Coleslaw and Multi-grains, and Confit Tomatoes; the Leg of “Axuria” Suckling Lamb with Snail Butter Jus; or the Chalosse Steak with Pepper Sauce. Not to mention the colourful Caesar or McCarthy Salads, club sandwiches and toasted sandwiches.
Have you got room for a dessert? Head Pastrycook Jean-Marie Hiblot and his team offer the traditional, but no less popular, chocolate fondant pudding, choux puff bun with salt butter caramel, vanilla slice or rum baba, as well as a very refreshing red berry fruit sundae.
La Terrasse is open daily from March to October, weather permitting.
