Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong offers guests a range of dining options and treats in celebration of Father’s Day this year. To make this occasion a memorable one, the hotel has prepared special menus at its award-winning restaurants for all families to enjoy.

Café Kool
On 16 June 2019, Café Kool will feature Father’s Day lunch and dinner buffets that include a host of family favourites and international fare. Chef’s recommendations include double-boiled ginseng and chicken soup (dinner only), beef wellington (dinner only), lobster bisque and seafood and tobiko fried rice. Other delights include certified Black Angus Prime Rib from Canada in addition to a range of grilled meats such as New Zealand lamb rack, US beef steak and an assortment of meat sausages.

An array of homemade desserts, including coffee tiramisu, vanilla cherry ball, mixed berries and chocolate cake and chocolate crème brûlée, will also be available.

Lobby Lounge
Boasting views of Victoria Harbour and the Hong Kong Island skyline, Lobby Lounge is a place where guests can relax comfortably in a classic and elegant setting with live music throughout the afternoon. On 15 and 16 June 2019, a Father’s Day-themed afternoon tea buffet will be available from 1 to 5 p.m. for only HK$338 for adults and HK$268 for children.


The afternoon tea buffet features a medley of all-time favourites such as lobster bruschetta, beef medallion with foie gras and Madeira sauce, baked ham with brown sugar glaze, scallop boudin, and wine poached salmon with black truffle. A selection of irresistible desserts is also on offer, including watermelon-flavoured cakes and tarts, chocolate crème brûlée, strawberry cheesecake and scones.

Shang Palace
On 15 and 16 June 2019, Executive Chinese Chef Cheung Long-Yin at Shang Palace, the hotel’s Michelin-starred Chinese restaurant, will prepare an abalone-themed set lunch and dinner to celebrate this wonderful occasion. Diners can enjoy a scrumptious dim sum lunch menu with special abalone creations such as baked diced chicken pastry with abalone, shredded fish maw, abalone and roasted duck in thick soup, and wok-fried fresh abalone and garoupa fillet with salted egg yolk. Abalone specialities for dinner include double-boiled silky fowl broth with abalone and ginseng, braised whole South African 8-head abalone and sea cucumber in abalone sauce, and traditional braised chicken and abalone served in a clay pot. The six-course lunch and eight-course dinner menus are priced at HK$ 638 per person and HK$ 1,288 per person, respectively.

Nadaman
Nadaman’s head chef, Chef Nobuo Tsuji, and his talented team at Nadaman offer a special Father’s Day eight-course kaiseki set menu, which is only available on 16 June 2019 and is priced at HK$ 1,080 per person. Menu highlights include an appetiser trio, steamed sweet corn custard with black truffle sauce, a deluxe sashimi platter, simmered pike eel and Kamo-nasu eggplant with grated radish sauce, grilled Japanese wagyu beef steak with French mustard, a selection of sushi, in addition to soup and dessert.

Angelini
The hotel’s famed Italian restaurant, Angelini, is offering set dinner menus, which are priced at HK$ 748 per person for three courses, HK$ 880 per person for four courses and HK$ 950 per person for five courses. Special menu highlights include the sea bass with cherry tomatoes, olives and potatoes in cartoccio style, grilled rib eye steak with red wine and braised onions, and an Italian selection of organic cheese. The menus will be available on 15 and 16 June.

Déli Kool
Déli Kool’s Executive Pastry Chef, Wins Hung, will add a sweet touch to the happy occasion with his artistic cake creation: the Orange Truffle Cake, which is presented in the shape of a travel suitcase and is priced at HK$ 375.
