Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay appoints Michelle Scott as Director of Sales & Marketing

Marriott International is pleased to announce the appointment of Michelle Scott as Director of Sales & Marketing for Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay, which is slated to open on 02 April, 2017.In this new role, Michelle will be leading the Sales & Marketing team of the 250-room resort and will be responsible for overseeing and driving all aspects of the property’s sales and marketing strategies. As Director of Sales & Marketing, Michelle will report into the resort’s General Manager Silvano Dressino.

“I’m thrilled to join the team at Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay,” said Michelle Scott, Director of Sales & Marketing, Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay. “With only two weeks to go until the resort opens, my goal is to position the resort as a premium, luxury offering in Fiji and a sought after destination for global travellers.”

Michelle is a passionate hotel professional with over 20 years’ experience, having held senior sales positions for several hotels within the Marriott International group. Most recently, Michelle was Director of Sales for Brisbane Marriott Hotel, where she successfully oversaw all sales activities and led the Sales Teams to achieve high activity and revenue targets. Prior to this, Michelle spent five years at Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort & Spa. A highlight of her role at this hotel was successfully repositioning it in the market following a AUD$20 million renovation.

“Michelle brings a wealth of experience to this role and I have no doubt that she will do an exceptional job in leading the Sales & Marketing team at Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay,” said Silvano Dressino. “Her brand expertise will help augment the hotel’s position as a leader in delivering unrivalled luxury, while allowing us to cater to the desires of global leisure and business travellers.”

Nestled on the western coast of Viti Levu in secluded Momi Bay, Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay features 250 guest rooms, including 22 unique over-water Bure Villas. Offering unrivalled lagoon and ocean views in a serene setting, the resort provides guests with an elegant, island-inspired experience. The resort will boast three distinct restaurants and bars, as well as a conference centre, three large swimming pools, man-made lagoon and private white-sand beach access.
