Spain & Portugal Travel Connection (SPTC) today launched a fun “Where’s Gilly” competition to celebrate the expansion of its specialist consulting team and the recent release of its 2014 brochure.

Following in the tradition of the popular ‘Where’s Wally” books, agents simply need to look in their copy of SPTC’s 2014 brochure – available via TIFS – and find the five pages and products on which photos featuring SPTC Sales & Product Manager Gill Gaspar appear.

The first agent to email through the five correct page numbers and product names will win a selection of four superb imported Spanish and Portuguese wines. A bottle each will also be sent to two runners up. Entries should be emailed to marketing@spanishtravel.com.au by 5pm Friday 9 May 2014.

The competition coincides with the appointment of dedicated destination specialist Roser Arjona.

Roser, who was born in Barcelona and grew up in the southern Spanish city of Cordoba in the Andalusia region, brings to the team more than 10 years’ experience working in the Iberian and Australian travel industries.

Launched in early 2013, SPTC is led by Gill Gaspar, whose family-owned retail travel business specialised in Spain and Portugal for more than 40 years. SPTC recently unveiled its second product brochure, which offers a significantly expanded range of accommodation, tours and packages. New additions for 2014 include:

  • more fully-escorted multi-day tours from Madrid and Barcelona – from four to 12 days, with itineraries incorporating the Kingdom of Morocco in northern Africa
  • new island stays on Majorca, Ibiza, Madeira, Acores and the Canary Islands
  • more accommodation options in key regional cities
  • new golfing packages
  • new easy-reference maps with hotel locations for all the major cities.

In addition, SPTC also offers a selection of boutique product exclusive to the Australian market including a Flamenco Master Class (where travellers can learn the art of Flamenco dancing), and the Madrid Gourmet Tapas Walking Tour.
