Over 150 Melbourne travel and hotel industry personnel saw another side of Radisson on Flagstaff Garden’s GM, Steve Finlayson when the hotel ran an industry preview party of the new Mission Impossible movie.

In a scene-setting five-minute video, Finlayson seemingly took a telephone In-Room order from Tom Cruise. After a wild motorbike chase, bare-chested muscled-up Finlayson catches a big salmon with his bare hands, slips back into his suit, daringly zips through laneways and down stairs on his motorbike ride back to the hotel where Exec Chef Leigh Robbins cooks the fish, plates it and gives it back to Finlayson to personally deliver to Tom Cruise’s room.

“Yes I can, Tom, Yes I can!” Finlayson said as he handed the meal to the hero action man.

Yes I Can!’  is the philosophy that everyone that works for Radisson lives by,” says Finlayson. “It’s the attitude we bring to work every day, it’s the way we do business and it’s the lens we use when trying to resolve guest issues or complaints.”

“The video was a fun way of introducing the movie while highlighting our service ethic,” he said afterwards.

The video won cheers, laughs and applause and put the preview party in the right frame of mind, he said.

As for his acting, the consensus was: “Don’t give up your day job, Steve!”.
