Finns Beach Club Is Joining The Solemen Foundation’s Partnership Program

January 4, 2018 Resort News No Comments Email Email

Finns Beach Club, an Indonesian owned company led by businessman I Ketut Subina, is a well-known entertainment venue located at Berawa Beach.  Besides providing a stunning beach club setting and regular entertainment for guests, Finns also believe in giving back to the community of which they are an integral part.  Their CSR program is now proudly supporting the Outreach work of the Solemen Foundation, Bali’s most visible charity whose major focus is to find, treat and heal the sick, desperately poor and disfranchised people in remote communities.

Finns owner Mr. Subina and CEO Dewa Deny have created an incomparable success story and truly believe that their business model, combining keen corporate decisions with a major philanthropic flair, will be a role model for the Indonesian business community and encourage other companies to emulate them.  They believe that becoming a major sponsor for sustainable funding to help the Solemen Foundation is absolutely what they really need to maintain and expand operations.

Solemen’s founder Robert Epstone mentions that a major sponsorship such as provided by Finns Beach Club can make a massive difference by financing Solemen’s Outreach Program.  Thanks to Finns 1-year, IDR 1 billion sponsorship Solemen can now seriously expand the reach of the Outreach Team. “Our dream is to have 8 teams on the road” says Robert, “each for a well-defined area of Bali. We also need sustainable funding to run our recently established ‘SOLEMEN HOUSE’ in close proximity to Sanglah hospital for our ‘Solebuddies’ and/or their families who are attending regular care or treatments there pre and post procedures.  We are truly grateful for Finns generous corporate support because this partnership will make a profound impact and change so many lives.”

Finns have been supporting Solemen for the past few years, with proceeds of their annual Melbourne Cup event providing a major funding boost for the Outreach Program. This year’s event netted proceeds of IDR 300 million for Solemen. In addition to their ongoing monetary support they also dedicate a Finns staff member to volunteer with the Outreach team 2 days per week.

“We are infinitely grateful to Finns for giving us a significant boost” says Robert, “as there is so much more we want to do.  Our roster of Solebuddies needing help grows larger every month.  In the last 2 years we went from caring for 520 people to as of today’s date over 1,200.

When reading about some of our successful fundraising activities some people may think that Solemen seem to be ok so now they probably don’t need any further funding. However nothing could be further from the truth. As Robert states “we mostly operate at breakeven or in deficit….this is because no matter how much money we raise we continually encounter more disadvantaged people needing our help desperately.”

In becoming a visible partner Finns Beach Club is stepping up to the plate and showing the Bali business community that corporate involvement in our partnership program is a WIN-WIN situation for both partners. Such corporate sponsorship make it easier for Solemen to do what they do best, which is to create HOPE AND CHANGE LIVES for those in desperate need.
