First In, Biggest Choices Don’t Miss The Boat! Book Your Royal Caribbean Summer Cruise Early To Get The Stateroom You Want And Snap Up Amazing Winter Savings

With bookings for the next two summer seasons now on sale, Australia’s favourite international cruise line, Royal Caribbean is on a mission to educate Aussies about the importance of booking early in order to secure the right sailing and cabin for their summer holiday at sea.

According to Adam Armstrong, managing director, Royal Caribbean Australia & New Zealand, everyone has different tastes and requirements on their cruise holiday. He urges those thinking of a cruise holiday this summer or next to start planning now.

“For the ultimate summer cruise holiday, book early; no question. With more than 1.2 million Australians cruising every season, year after year we are seeing our summer cruises filling up earlier, particularly over the peak holiday periods. That’s why we are on a mission to educate Australians about the importance of booking early, and to provide them with tips and tricks for securing the summer holiday they’ve been dreaming of.”

“Families who want a stateroom near the Adventure Ocean kids club or require interconnecting staterooms would be well-placed to start planning their cruise now, so they can lock in their preferred location.”

“Or perhaps you’d like to be forward or aft of the ship, port or starboard, or on a particular deck,” he said. “What’s perfect for one group of holidaymakers may be completely different for another, however we find certain suites and balcony cabins get snapped up quickly, and as the number of people taking a cruise continues to increase, demand for certain cabins and decks hots up.“

Some of Royal Caribbean’s other top tips for booking your cruise include:

  • Shop around – you want to be sure you’re getting the best value deal – but don’t wait too long! It’s the most common mistake to make; with a finite number of cabins, they will absolutely sell out
  • If you are marking a significant milestone, let the cruise line or your travel agent know early so they can help you plan any surprises or special events
  • Keep an eye out for discounted or complimentary flight deals if you’re travelling to meet your cruise
  • Research your destinations and shore excursions before you travel, so you waste minimal time in ports and secure the shore excursion of your choice
  • If you’re cruising on an open-jaw itinerary, consider adding a land package on to the beginning or end of your cruise to really maximise your holiday time
  • Sign up with the cruise line or your local travel agent to receive alerts for deals on extras like beverage packages and specialty dining bundle-deals
  • Pre-pay and de-stress, knowing your holiday is completely taken care of in advance – this can be particularly motivating during the cold winter months. Then all there is to do is sit back and count down the days until your cruise!

This summer, Aussies have a choice of four of the youngest, most modern and adventure packed ships from Royal Caribbean sailing from Sydney to the South Pacific, New Zealand and around Australia, including the all new Ovation of the Seas, twin sister ships Voyager of the Seas and Explorer of the Seas and culinary favourite Radiance of the Seas.

Throughout the month of June, Royal Caribbean will be offering Australians unbeatable value. New bookings made by 30 June 2017 will Buy One, Get One Half Price, paying full price for guest one, half price for guest two, and savings of 25% for guests three and four in a stateroom. PLUS: Royal Caribbean is offering free Balcony upgrades for Oceanview bookings.

“While January is known for big cruise deals, our mid-year offer is the best value cruise fare you’ll see after that. There really is no better time to plan your summer holiday,” Armstrong concluded.

Cruise onboard Explorer of the Seas from only $1,499 for first guest and $749 for the second in an Interior stateroom, or upgrade to a Balcony for the price of an Oceanview from just $1,379 for the first guest and $699 for the second. Departing Sydney on 26 November 2017, the nine-night sailing includes calls to picturesque South Pacific destinations including Lifou in Loyalty Islands, Vila and Mystery Island in Vanuatu, and Noumea in New Caledonia.

Sail onboard Australia’s biggest and most modern ship, Ovation of the Seas from just $1,129 for the first guest and $599 for the second in an Interior stateroom, or book an Oceanview from just $1,379 for the first guest and $699 for the second and receive a free upgrade to a Balcony stateroom.  Departing Sydney on 23 November 2018, this five-night voyage includes two days docked in Hobart.
