First Vertical Run To Help The Less Fortunate By Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok

Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok will hold its first ever vertical run on Friday, 23 May 2014. 

hispanic man running and jumping from a wallWith an aim to help less fortunate students in Nakhon Nayok Province, the challenge is open to all stair racers.  Vertical Run 2014 will be held at the 25-storey Shangri-La Wing’s gruelling 90.6-metre climb of 494 steps.

Participants of all ages can join Vertical Run 2014.  Entry fee is priced at 500 baht per person and includes a Vertical Run T-shirt.  The race will finish at the rooftop of the hotel’s Shangri-La Wing.  All proceeds after expenses will support a kindergarten classroom renovation project of Baan Chongtakian School in Nakhon Nayok Province.

Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and racing starts at 9:00 a.m.

The winner in individual male and female categories will receive a trophy and a dining voucher for a romantic dinner cruise for two aboard the hotel’s Horizon Cruise.  All participants will receive a finisher’s medal.
