With only so much time left to enjoy warm Chicago summer, don’t not let lack of cash deter you from any fun to be had.

Everyone knows the end-of-summer feeling of being broke and vacationed out, but luckily there are great things to do in Chicago without dipping into that hard earned savings. ChicagoTravler.comhas gI_129100_311532_165769976831384_7475018_nput together a few things to help kick those I-have-no-money blues.

Shedd Aquarium – $8
The wonders of the ocean are only a cheap ticket away at the Shedd Aquarium. General Admission is $8 for adults and $6 for children ages 3-11. The Shedd Aquarium is a great date idea, so bring your sweetheart and come see the beautiful fish.

Lincoln Park Zoo – free.
Nothing is better than free. And nothing is more entertaining than a day at the zoo. The Lincoln Park Zoo is the perfect combination of the best things. Open year round, this zoo is one of the oldest in the country, and is great for a family day of free fun.

Rent a Bike- $10 – $15
With bike rental options scattered around Chicago (especially on Navy Pier), there is no better way to save money while exploring around Chicago. Skip expensive tours and take the city by bike.

Chicago Beer – $5
With breweries scattered all over Chicago, this is one of the best ways to cool off and enjoy some time tasting the finer things in life. Chicago is famous for the assortment of delicious brews, so get out and taste some suds.

Pizza – $2.50
There is no way to leave Chicago without trying the famous Chicago style deep dish pizza. With pizzerias on nearly every corner, it won’t be hard to find the tasty treat to satisfy that craving for something greasy. Most pizza places sell pizza by the slice, and the editors of reccommend Lou Malnati’s, where you can buy a slice of pizza for $2.50.
