Delta flight attendants serve over 200 million customers a year, including, when needed, a toy doll.
Morgan Rich accidentally left her beloved Dolly onboard a Delta flight from Honolulu and Los Angeles. Before forgetfulness turned to heartbreak, flight attendant Shalani came to Dolly’s rescue.
Without realizing the doll was missing, the Rich family boarded onto their next flight in L.A. to discover Dolly already buckled into Morgan’s seat. This was thanks to the careful attention of Shalani, who noticed Dolly had been left behind.
“The world is a better place with you making a difference one act of kindness at a time,” Morgan told Shalani.
Morgan’s thoughts are echoed for all Delta flight attendants today, as the airline celebrates International Flight Attendant Day. Delta sincerely thanks Shalani and all in-flight crew members for their thoughtful service.

- As a group, they work on over 15,000 flights daily.
- A Delta flight attendant serves an average 19.3 years.
- Delta flight attendants fly to 304 destinations in 52 countries on six continents.
