FlightStats Announces Analytics Launch Partner with Leading Asia Pacific Airline

FlightStats, the leader in flight data services and applications for the global travel industry, announces All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan’s largest airline, as a launch partner for the newly developed FlightStats Analytics application.

ANA has one of the best on-time performance records of any airline in the world having won numerous FlightStats On-time Performance Service Awards over the past several years. ANA will be using FlightStats Analytics in an effort to continue to improve operational performance through detailed analysis of route performance, block time performance, hub operations and other key metrics.

FlightStats Analytics is a cloud-based data warehouse comprised of operational flight information sourced from hundreds of airlines, airports, civil aviation authorities and other sources of real-time flight status. The data warehouse includes historical and near real-time flight data updated every 5 minutes from the FlightStats operational database. Reports and visualizations are powered by Tableau and delivered via a web interface. With FlightStats Analytics, ANA will have complete visibility into their operations in near real-time and be able to analyze past performance versus the performance of other airlines in key markets or system wide.
