The first ever ‘Flow With a Pro’ cruise takes place on Ovation of the Seas’ history making sailing from Fremantle to Sydney in December this year, complete with tuition, expert advice and demonstrations from Adam Wildman, European flowboarding champion in 2013, 2014 & 2016 and Royal Caribbean’s home-grown FlowRider Ambassador.
With Ovation of the Seas’ maiden Australian voyage exclusively chartered by Cruiseco, the stunning ship’s 5,000 passengers will be amongst the very first to experience this USD$1 billion dollar vessel as she sets sail on 30 November 2016 from Singapore to Sydney. With sectors between five to 15 nights available, guests can travel for the entire 15 night voyage or sail for a shorter time, visiting a number of fascinating and captivating Australian cities along the way.
Guests can ‘Flow with a Pro’ on the megaliner from Fremantle to Sydney, departing 6 December 2016 for a nine-night cruise that calls in Adelaide and Hobart, before making her stunning debut in Sydney Harbour at dawn. Throughout, guests will receive access to complimentary group lessons from Adam Wildman, plus he’ll showcase some of his spectacular tricks with free guest demonstrations along the way.
Adam Wildman first discovered his talent for flowboarding on Royal Caribbean’s Freedom of the Seas on a family holiday in 2009, and has now turned his passion into a profession. Hailing from the Gold Coast, his sport takes him all over the world. Having successfully defended his title as European Champion earlier this year, Wildman takes on the best of the best at the World Flowboarding Championships in Singapore at the end of October.
“If you’ve ever thought about giving flowboarding a go, Ovation is the perfect place to test your talents. The most important thing to remember is that falling is half the fun! No matter your age or skill, you’re guaranteed to have a great time,” said Adam Wildman, Royal Caribbean’s FlowRider Ambassador.
Steve Lloyd, Cruiseco Chief Executive, said he was thrilled to partner with Royal Caribbean’s FlowRider Ambassador, and offer Cruiseco guests this exclusive and complimentary experience.
The signature FlowRider – which can only be found at sea on Royal Caribbean – mimics ocean surf conditions by pumping water at speed over the soft, padded riding area, which riders can ‘drop in’ on from the top of the FlowRider. Surfers will find it’s a slightly different experience to an ocean wave, since the water flows in the opposite direction, making it all the more fun to master. Guests can choose two different riding styles, stand-up traditional surfing and boogie boarding or knee boarding.
Families of all kinds will love the fun factor on Ovation of the Seas. Once they have mastered the FlowRider, Australia’s first new-build cruise ship offers a range of other thrills like the iFly skydiving simulator with wind speeds of 250km/hr, and a circus school complete with trapeze.
For those who prefer their fun at a slightly slower speed, the North Star gently raises guests 90 metres above sea level for stunning 360 degree views. Meanwhile SeaPlex offers bumper car fun for all the family plus a roller skating rink complete with disco ball, and of course the rock climbing wall is a Royal Caribbean favourite for young and old.
No other cruise ship – or style of holiday in Australia – offers so much choice in one place. Ovation of the Seas also offers Broadway-style shows, cocktails tailor-made by a robot plus a choice of 18 different world-class dining options including Jamie’s Italian, the enchanting Wonderland and a fantastic gastro pub.
