The Fort Worth Convention & Visitors Bureau is officially launching the Fort Worth Ale Trail to draw attention to the breweries. The Ale Trail is the only organized program of its kind in the Dallas-Fort Worth region.

Ten craft breweries and counting are featured, including: Rahr & Sons Brewing, the 2016 U.S. Open Beer Championship’s No. 10 brewery; Panther Island Brewing;Martin House Brewing; Chimera Brewing Company; The Collective Brewing Project; HopFusion Ale Works; Wild Acre Brewing, Shannon Brewing; Rabbit Hole Brewing; and Revolver Brewing.

To complete the trail, a free Ale Trail Passport must first be picked up from a participating brewery or either of Fort Worth’s Visitor Centers. Trail-goers are then instructed to collect a unique stamp from each brewery. Participants who complete the first half of the trail by collecting any five stamps can redeem a bottle opener, while those who collect all 10 can redeem a t-shirt. Prizing will be available from the Main Street Visitor Center in Sundance Square in late 2016.

“We’re excited to draw attention to Fort Worth’s booming craft brewery scene,” said Mitch Whitten, VP of marketing communications for the FWCVB. “Over 5,000 passports have been passed out since the soft launch in March at the Fort Worth Food + Wine Festival, and we anticipate interest to double before end of year.”

Passports will also be available at Dallas’ Untapped Music & Beer Festival on November 12. The Ale Trail is sponsored by Fort Worth-based Justin Boots.

The FWCVB encourages all participants to follow the rules of the Ale Trail, which can be found online at An Ale Trail map and digital passport are also available here for download. Visitors may extend their stay in Fort Worth at the Omni Fort Worth Hotel or the Hilton Garden Inn – Fossil Creek, both offering Fort Worth Ale Trail packages.
