West Side Story, Jagged Little Pill, Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, and Girl From The North Country will all join The Broadway Collection this August to captivate audiences from around the globe.
The new shows will begin performances late 2019 – early 2020. West Side Story will return to the stage when it opens at the Broadway Theatre on 6 February 2020. Fans of the classic musical will appreciate the thrilling interpretation of this iconic production, bringing extraordinary dancing and breathtaking visuals to the stage. The revival features 23 young actors who are all making their Broadway debuts. This can’t be missed by millennial travellers!
Fans of Alanis Morissette’s music will be thrilled when Jagged Little Pill opens at the Broadhurst Theatre on 5 December 2019. The original musical follows a seemingly picture-perfect family as they are forced to choose between maintaining the status quo or facing harsh truths about themselves when cracks in their façade begin to show. Jagged Little Pill is inspired by the themes and emotions of the Grammy Award-winning album and features the hits “Iconic”, “You Oughta Know” and “Hand In My Pocket” as well as new songs.
Tina: The Tina Turner Musical will have travellers dancing in their seats as they follow the rock ‘n’ roll queen from her humble beginnings to her global superstar transformation. Opening at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on 7 November 2019, audiences can sit back, relax and enjoy Tina Turner’s story like never before.
Featuring reimagined Bob Dylan hits, Girl From The North Country will open at the Belasco Theatre on 5 March 2020. Set in 1934 in the heartland of America, the new musical tells a heartbreaking story about family and love as it follows a small community on the brink of change. Multicultural travellers of all ages will be able to relate to the universal story and messaging that will stick with them long after the curtain closes.
