Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver will be actively participating in Global Wellness Day 2015 through a variety of fitness, food and beverage events and offerings with in-house and industry experts.

Global Wellness Day is a special day that reminds the entire world of the importance of living well, encompassing everything from exercise and beauty treatments to spiritual teachings and ways of thinking, and the harmony between body and spirit.  This is a social movement without any commercial purpose, celebrated around the world on the second Saturday of June every year. Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts decided to partner with Global Wellness Day to highlight the company’s vast wellness initiatives and outstanding spas within the portfolio.

“We all want to be healthy, look good and live a good life, both physically and spiritually,” says Belgin Askoy, Global Wellness Day Founder. “Four Seasons shares these values and we are thrilled that they are supporting this worldwide initiative.”

Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver is offering three great fitness sessions during the week that highlight the city’s passion for healthy living through exercise. The Hotel has partnered with ultra-popular Eastwood Cycle Sanctuaryon Wednesday, June 10 to offer locals and guests a sunset spin on the private pool deck.  On Thursday, July 11, Hotel Manager Joerg Rodig will lead the regularly scheduled 6:00 am Discover Vancouver Morning Jog.Innovative Fitness’ personal training experts, who offer complimentary circuit training for Hotel guests twice a week, will be sharing stretching tips to keep muscles warm and limber.

A partnership with Vancouver-based lululemon athletica Robson Street and Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver invites Hotel guests and locals to join a Global Wellness Day-inspired sunrise yoga class on the outdoor pool deck.  Classes will be led by experts who promise to show participants a great time while getting their sweat on.

In addition to the many healthy options already on the YEW seafood + bar menu, Executive Chef Ned Bell will be creating a Big, Healthy Salad from June 8 through 13 that will change daily. Plant-based, nutrient-dense, sustainable and delicious are words this health-focused Chef lives by. The popular sustainable seafood restaurant will also be offering breakfast and lunch guests fresh-pressed juice shooters at various times during the week.

Global Wellness Day is also an ideal time to launch a brand new massage treatment newly available at the Hotel’sRedCedar Massage Boutique. Those who love hot stone massage, and warm, even pressure are going to love the Thermal Stix Massage. Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver is one of the first locations in Canada to offer the treatment that features heated, polished wooden batons designed to roll out, stretch and relax tight or achy muscles.

Hotel guests checking in on June 12 and 13 will also enjoy Chef Ned Bell’s tencha match high-energy power cookies as part of Global Wellness Day celebrations.

Hotel guests attending meetings on the morning of Friday, June 12 will be treated to a fresh press juice pick-me-up as well.  In addition, the Hotel will also have wellness initiatives for employees, including their own Big, Healthy Salad featured in the inviting and health-minded employee cafeteria, affectionately called YOU2.
