France back in Eurail Select Pass

March 10, 2014 Rail No Comments Email Email

Rail Plus is pleased to announce that France will once again be included in the Eurail Select Pass, effective 1 April 2014.

At the same time, the selection of Eurail Select passes will be simplified, with a single pass now offering unlimited travel through four adjoining European countries*, and the current three- and five-country passes no longer available.

Rail Plus General Manager Sales & Marketing Greg McCallum said the return of French rail operator SNCF was welcome news for Australasian travellers.

“France is one of the most popular destinations for visitors to Europe, and as a result its withdrawal from the Eurail Select Pass in 2013 impacted the product’s popularity in the Australian and New Zealand markets,” says McCallum.

“With France now participating, I have no doubt agents will embrace the four-day Eurail Select Pass, helping it quickly reclaim its position as one of Rail Plus’ most popular rail products.”
