Franklin County Visitors Bureau Recommends History Rocks this April during Spring into History

Franklin County Visitors Bureau has teamed up with several Franklin County libraries to host History Rocks, rock-painting, hiding and finding sessions to celebrate Spring into History Month this April. These fun and free rock-painting, hiding and finding sessions are for the young and young at heart. Celebrate a favorite part of Franklin County history with a design then hide them for someone else to find.

Several public rock painting sessions are planned at Coyle Free Library on April 2 at 10:30 am and April 19 at 6 pm, Blue Ridge Summit Library on April 5 at 4:30 pm and 6 pm, Lilian S. Besore Memorial Library on April 9 at 6 pm and Grove Family Library at 6:30 pm. Each event is free to the public and to sign up for any of events, contact the libraries hosting the event.

These rocks, to be hidden and found among Franklin County historical landmarks, can be of any design and hid throughout Franklin County. Share and write the hashtag #historyrocksfcvb to follow on social media!

A find and hide competition kicks off April 21 through the end of April for a chance to win a $100 grand prize. More information on this interactive event and activities to be revealed in April!
