The Fraser Coast has dominated the 2015 TripAdvisor Hall of Fame with 10 tourism businesses making the list.
TripAdvisor’s Hall of Fame was created to honour tourism operators that have earned a Certificate of Excellence across five consecutive years for consistently achieving outstanding reviews from the travelling public.
The 2015 Hall of Fame winners for the Fraser Coast are: Friendly Hostel – Hervey Bay; Lady Elliot Island Eco Resort – Lady Elliot Island; Chamomile Bed and Breakfast – Hervey Bay; Emeraldene Inn & Eco Lodge – Hervey Bay; Grand Mercure Allegra – Hervey Bay; Akama Resort – Hervey Bay; Fraser Explorer Tours – Fraser Island; Fraser Lodge Holiday Park – Hervey Bay; Fraser Experience Tours – Fraser Island and Cool Dingo Tours – Fraser Island.
Fraser Coast Regional Councillor with the Tourism Portfolio, Stuart Taylor, congratulated the winning businesses for their excellent commitment and service.
“It is a wonderful achievement for these local businesses to be recognised in this way for consistently delivering great service to customers,’’ Cr Taylor said.
“Achieving ten businesses in the Hall of Fame highlights the outstanding depth of quality in tourism experiences on the Fraser Coast.

According to TripAdvisor, properties that are awarded the Certificate of Excellence demonstrate hospitality excellence and represent the upper echelon of businesses listed on the world’s largest travel site. It is awarded to accommodation providers, eateries and attractions located all over the world.
