Free flights from Australia are being offered as part of a new ‘Noble Nova Scotia’ cruise package that features a river and sea journey from Maine, USA, along the Atlantic coast of Canada and then inland to the French-Canadian cities of Quebec City and Montreal with boutique American cruise company, Victory Cruise Lines.

Victory Cruise Lines, in partnership with Australian small ship specialist, Cruise Traveller, is offering the new 15-night cruise and stay package starting on April 30, 2019, in New York and ending in Toronto, Canada. The earlybird offer includes free, return, economy flights from Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne Australia to New York and ex Toronto on return, when travellers book by December 31, 2018.

The holiday package begins with a flight to New York and three nights’ accommodation in Manhattan before guests fly to Portland, Maine, to begin a 10-night cruise aboard Victory Cruise’s 202-passenger ship, Victory I. The intimate, 6000-ton ship is designed for coastal cruising, with all staterooms offering water views. Passengers also enjoy complimentary, free-flowing wine, beer and spirits, a free cocktail hour before dinner, indulgent high teas on sailing days, complimentary shore excursions, free Wi-Fi and a program of lectures by historians and naturalists specialising in the regions visited. Victory I also boasts a sun deck, wrap-around promenade deck, dining room serving fine cuisine, outdoor grill, two lounges and a tavern, while staterooms feature Egyptian cotton bedding and flat screen TVs.

From Portland, the voyage traces a route right along the Canada-USA border on the St Lawrence River. Along the way guests, will visit Halifax, Prince Edward Island – home of L.M. Montgomery’s, ‘Anne of Green Gables’ – and through the spectacular Saguenay Fjords, where an onboard naturalist will help identify local minke, beluga and fin whales, including the blue whale – the largest animal on the planet.

Other highlights of the cruise include the French-flavoured Canadian cities of Montreal and Quebec City, with its walled ramparts and imposing edifice of Chateau Frontenac, a grand hotel overlooking the cobblestoned city. The cruise ends in the multicultural Canadian city of Toronto, with guests enjoying two nights’ accommodation in Toronto before flying home.
