Full Steam Ahead Campbelltown Steam & Machinery Museum Field Days – Saturday, May 20 & Sunday, May 21, 2017

The sounds of hissing steam and pounding pistons will ring across the historic Macarthur region when vintage steam machines are brought back to life as part of the Campbelltown Steam and Machinery Museum Field Days on Saturday, May 20 and Sunday, May 21, 2017.

The ‘Oil, Steam and Kerosene’ event will feature free steam train and wagon rides and displays of steam machinery, vintage cars and military vehicles. The museum showcases Australia’s past with working displays of industrial, agricultural and civil machinery including traction engines and tractors, a two-foot gauge railway and antique earthmoving displays.

The museum, nestled in the meadows of Menangle Park, aims to provide entertainment and educational opportunities for people of all ages and interests, promoting the restoration and preservation of our unique past.

Open only to the public during open days held twice a year, the Campbelltown Steam and Machinery Museum Field Days offer the unique opportunity to see the historic machinery which helped to build our nation.

Entry is $12 for adults, $6 for children and $28 for families (two adults and two children). There will also be food stalls and a range of fun activities as well as free barbecues and parking.
