Learning at sea can be fun – just ask the more than 120 travel agent ‘graduates’ to date of the Carnival Cruise Lines’ ‘Seminars at Sea’ program onboard the magnificent Carnival Spirit.

As Carnival Cruise Lines Director of Sales, Anton Loeb confirms, ‘Seminars at Sea’ are “a fantastic way for agents to have firsthand experience of all the Zen to Adrenalin activities, and everything in-between” on Carnival Spirit.

Four ‘Seminars at Sea’ were held last year and, following their great success, another four are scheduled for 2014.

And there’s no doubt positive news of the seminars is travelling fast as travel agents who have already participated tell of their great times onboard Carnival Spirit.

“While onboard travel agents and their partners enjoy everything Spirit has to offer from the child-free Serenity retreat to stunning live shows in the Main Theatre plus the choice of 16 bars and lounges,” said Anton. “They can also take on the ultimate challenge of Green Thunder, the steepest and fastest waterslide at sea.

“With a program that has everything from informative product seminars through to melting chocolate cake cooking classes and private cocktail parties hosted by a dedicated Carnival business development manager, there is simply no better way for travel agents to get Carnivalised!”

The learning experience isn’t one way traffic either – Carnival Cruise Lines is always pleased to get feedback from its travel agent guests.

“Seminars at Sea are an opportunity for us to learn from our travel agent partners because no one is closer to the market than the people selling Carnival cruise holidays,” Anton said.

Some examples of travel agent feedback include:

First Time Cruiser

“My Carnival experience was amazing! Being my first cruise, staff were extremely friendly creating a rapport with guests onboard. Entertainment was FUN FUN FUN! Definitely a cruise to remember.

Carnival Spirit Service

The excellent service of each and every one of the staff [exceeded my expectations] from my room attendant Putu, the amazing staff at Empire Room, and friendly smiles of the buffet staff.

The service by the staff made the trip, they are all so energetic, polite and friendly.

The Food!

Travel agents wanting more information on the next seminar at sea should head to in Australia or in New Zealand or speak to their local Business Development Manager.
