May 31, 2016 Destination Europe No Comments Print Print Email Email

An adventure to seek out Manni the Mud Monster, a barbeque party in the great outdoors and pony rides – this year, the BIG Family will sweep you off on an exciting summer holiday.

New this year is the SERLESPARK in Mieders. Right next to the mountain station Koppeneck, the new SERLESPARK theme park and world of relaxation ensures that the whole family gets to enjoy a variety of activities on the mountain. The new Baumhausweg [Tree House Way] at the middle station of the Schlick 2000 also offers an exciting insight into the history of the region and the power of the forest – adults and children get to learn more about the history of the Stubai Valley in the form of different tree houses located at different stops. One thing is certain: with the BIG Family Stubai Summer Club and its varied programme for kids 4+ and teens 10+, the young participants will get to discover the Stubai Valley in all its many facets. The summer in Stubai can come!

Who wants to build sandcastles? From 27 June 2016, the BIG Family Stubai will again be on top form, most notably B.Nice and her new friend Manni the Mud Monster. The professional childcare on offer for both visiting children and locals leaves no room for boredom to sneak in and will run the whole summer long, up hills and down dales, with tasty BBQs, exciting craft projects and also lasting knowledge-sharing about nature and the region.

Summer party, treasure hunts and time in the mountains

The BIG Family Summer in Stubai is divided into two age groups: one for children from four to ten years of age and the other for children over ten and young teens. From 27 June to 9 September from Monday to Friday, the team at BIG Family will accompany the children on an exciting voyage of discovery. Through the course of the 4+ programme, the very little ones get to discover elements of nature through play: the new SERLESPARK promises lots of fun in the water – here the shallow water is given over to the littlest visitors together with their own water play area. Whether it is the tap water system or the wild water run to play or paddle in – there is certainly no shortage of different things to do with the BIG Family. The adventure to seek out the missing Manni the Mud Monster keeps the little ones on the go for another day, and with pony rides and a ramble through the fairytale forest, the children get to spend the whole day in the great outdoors. On the other hand, with the pirate adventure at the WildeWasserWeg, the children learn how to build their own pirate ship. The programme on the Waldläufertag [Ranger Day] includesshowing the children how to build a catapult, archery, Geocaching and how to use a compass. Of course, at the end of every BIG Family Week there is also a barbecue party at the Klaus Äuele Adventure Playground in Neustift to say a fitting farewell to newly-found friends. The 10+ programme for older children includes: rafting trips along the green Inn, climbing in the largest adventure park in the Tyrol with 13 exciting courses and, for the really brave, a tandem paragliding flight. The varied programme guarantees summer fun out in the great outdoors.

BIG Family Summer for everyone

At the BIG Family Stubai Summer Party on 5th August, B.Nice and her sidekick Manni the Mud Monster invite children, teens and grown-ups alike to the Kampler Lake at Neustift. There awaits a face-painting station, bouncy castle and fresh, fluffy candy floss. The BIG Family team and the fun characters have already devised exciting play stations for the whole family. When the summer slowly comes to an end, the autumn programme from 3 to 21 October 2016 together with a visit to the Panorama Lake in the Schlick 2000, the Flying Fox and the forest animal quiz with questions about our local animal and mountain environment will ensure you have a great time, just like in the summer months.

Fairytale time at the Stubai Glacier, pirates and much more

In the course of the BIG Family Week, on 28 July 2016, storyteller Christian Stefaner will take you away to a mystical lake at the Stubai Glacier. At the Stubai Glacier, the children are welcomed at the mountain station and will walk to a small lake nearby. There, at the lake shore, the children will get to know a fascinating mermaid who is part of an exciting water fairytale. A few days later, there will be a fairytale walk with storyteller Helmut Wittmann and a bagpipe player at the Serles. A children’s magician in the Schlick 2000 and the big party at Kampler Lake promises fun and action! There is also much on offer at the Elfer: the children’s musical “Frogo and Lele”, an interactive children’s theatre with live music on the theme of friendship, will be performed on 30 July.

BIG Family Stubai Summer Card

The BIG Family Stubai Summer Card has many benefits – children under 15 years of age who are staying in a partner company of the BIG Family get it for free. With it, the little ones get to enjoy free trips on the cable cars as well as reduced entrance prices. BIG Family Premium Homes and the BIG Family Restaurants are also set up to cater for the needs of little guests too. For a summer in Stubai, families are in the best of hands!
