Furama Resort Danang has participated in the International Travel and Tourism Trade Show (SATTE 2018) that opened in India’s capital of New Delhi on January 31st.

Over a span of three days, the event plays has hosted to over 1,000 exhibitors and represents over 50 countries and 28 Indian states with some 600 booths displayed in the framework of the SATTE.

Running through February 2, the event is South Asia’s leading tourism fair and aims to allow tourism businesses, airlines and hotels to meet and seek partnerships. 10 Vietnamese travel firms have participated in the travel fair SATTE 2018.

Mr. Cao Anh Tuan – Furama Resort Danang’s Sales Manager opined:

“We have been conducting business plans in order to approach the Indian market, including doing market research, recruiting more Sales and Marketing staff for this populous market.

Last December, we have just successfully hosted the first FAM Trip from India, showcasing our Ariyana Tourism Complex Danang including Furama Resort Danang, Furama Villas Danang, the newly opened Ariyana Convention Centre and the 1,400-room Ariyana Beach Resort & Suites project which will soon be opened in 2019.

In addition, a culinary exchange to promote traditional Vietnamese cuisine to Indian people has been utilized at the Cilantron Restaurant in the luxurious Trident Hotel Gurgaon, New Delhi from July 2th to 10th 2016, wooing hundreds of Indian gourmets with the finest Vietnamese gastronomy.

The Indian Food Festival, a first-time event, held at The Furama Resort from May 26th to 29th 2016 attracted hundreds of Central region residents and foreign visitors to this culinary resort to immerse in all the “delights of the senses” that reflect the riches of Indian Culture. This one-of-a-kind festival saw the attendance of 2 Chefs, Mr. Sandeep Kalra and Mr. Bhagwat Singh from the fabulous 5-star Trident Gurgaon Hotel in New Delhi, showcasing their artistic flare with the special blending of Indian herbs and spices at the Indian A la Carte Lunch and Buffet Dinner. In particular, the Indian Lunch introduced 20 signature Indian delicacies including ‘Goan shrimp curry’, ‘Mulligatawny soup’, ‘Kashmiri maaz seekh kababa’.”

“Inviting Indian chefs for direct training at Furama Resort Danang and deploying refresher training programs in India for Furama chefs will facilitate attracting a greater number of Indian tourists.”,  says Tuan.

Vietnam has emerged to the attention of Indian tourists as an exciting new destination besides traditional markets such as Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Europe, etc… However, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi have been the first and one of the only places in Vietnam providing tourism services for Indian tourists. Therefore, Danang should cooperate with other domestic and foreign localities in order to promote their own tourism sector to the Indian market.

“More Indian restaurants with high-qualified chefs and vegetarian menus should be opened to pursue this huge market”, remarked Tuan.

Furama Resort Danang was the only business in Danang to attend the SATTE 2018 in New Delhi, India.
