FWD to Launch New Critical Illness & Mental Health Protection Plan

February 24, 2018 Insurance No Comments Email Email

A survey recently conducted by FWD revealed that workers in Hong Kong are facing significant pressure and mental distress. Indeed, the World Health Organization (WHO) estimated that by 2020, depression will become the world’s second leading cause of disability, behind only cardiovascular disease. Filling a gap in the current insurance marketplace, FWD Hong Kong is launching Mind+ Critical Illness Protection Plan, Hong Kong’s first innovative comprehensive health concept providing all-round protection for both physical and mental well-being.

In addition, FWD Hong Kong collaborates with The Hong Kong Society of Psychiatrists offering a publicly accessible and accredited Mental Health Self-assessment Online Tool to increase awareness of diagnosis work of mood disorder, and together with the Child Development Centre for building Hong Kong’s first-ever Digital Interactive Platform for Children’s Learning Progress.
