G Adventures, the leading small-group adventure travel tour operator, has today announced it is expanding its Australia and New Zealand inventory by 250 per cent in 2014, to accommodate for increased demand for locally based tours.

The large scale increase in tour itineraries and departure dates makes Australia and New Zealand the fastest growing destination for G Adventures travellers globally.

Belinda Ward, Duchess of Delegation for Australia and New Zealand, believes the expanded offering reflects interest in Australian and New Zealand tours that offer real interaction and insights into local life.G Adventures increases Australia and New Zealand

“We were extremely pleased with the success of our Australia and New Zealand tours in 2013 – over 90 per cent of all local tours were fully booked in our first year of operation,” said Ward. “There’s so much to see in this beautiful part of the world and the fact that we’re adding 9 new itineraries and increasing our departure dates substantially to cater to the increased demand validates what we’re already offering in the region and our plans for the future.”

As part of the expansion of local itineraries, 2014 will see G Adventures offering ‘classic’ style trips for the first time in Australia and New Zealand, on top of the Yolo (‘You Only Live Once’ style designed for 18-30 somethings) and ‘Comfort’ trips offered currently. The ‘Best of Australia’ Classic tour will allow G Adventures travellers to learn to surf at Byron Bay, sail the Whitsundays, sleep in a swag under the stars and go spearfishing with the local Aborigines.

G Adventures currently runs a variety of adventures throughout Australia and New Zealand. For more information on tour itineraries, visit or call 1300 180 969.
