In this third quarter of the year, the award winning sister hotels, G Hotel Gurney and G Hotel Kelawai have added another 12 internationally recognised awards into its collection. This further affirms its service standards amongst business and leisure travellers.

G Hotel Gurney and G Hotel Kelawai received the 2018 Recognition of Excellence with a 8.6/10 guest rating and 9.1/10 guest rating respectively by HotelsCombined, an Australian-based hotel meta-search company, which did an extensive survey based on data from millions of guest reviews covering different types of accommodations in Malaysia.  In order to be considered in the HotelsCombined Recognition of Excellence selection process, properties must have an 8.0/10 rating or more, with a minimum of 50 customer reviews certified by HotelsCombined during the judging period.

TripAdvisor, another renowned online travel agent also awarded G Hotel Gurney and G Hotel Kelawai with the 2018 Certificate of Excellence for Outstanding Traveller Review. On top of that, G Hotel Gurney was also awarded with the Certificate of Excellence Hall of Fame for receiving the Certificate of Excellence for five consecutive years. To qualify for a Certificate of Excellence, a business must achieve bubble rating of at least 4.0 out of 5.0 as well as having a minimum number of reviews and must be listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months for this award.

At both G Hotels, customers are ensured that they get only the best experiences during their stay. With this, G Hotel Gurney and G Hotel Kelawai jointly secured the Loved by Guest Awards by Hotels.com in which G Hotel Gurney earned 8.8/10 in a rating given by their guests, while G Hotel Kelawai won Top 100 Business. Hotels.com is a platform for hotel bookings that allow users to secure rooms through their website or telephone.

G Hotel Gurney was also awarded Service Excellent Hotel by Luxury Travel Guide Awards 2018, where all champs of the Luxury Travel Guide Awards are liable to the same rigorous appraisal criteria, completed by their in-house experts. Whereby its team of experts have scoured the globe and travelled extensively with the intention of recognising everything from the finest hotels, airlines and tour operators to highlighting the most respectable transfer service companies.

Recognised beyond the chic design and incredible location, G Hotel Gurney proudly holds the award of 2017 Best Business Travel Hotel, scoring 4.6/5 including a percentage of 98% recommendation by Ctrip Travelers’ Top Spots. Ctrip Travelers’ Top Spots award aims to rank the popularity of tourist destinations, hotels, scenic spots, and airlines among Chinese travellers, collecting results based on millions of feedback surveys from Ctrip.com as well as votes cast by millions of travellers from different social media channels.

In addition, at a recent Marcom Networking Evening-cum-Iftar Dinner organised by Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau (PCEB), with the purpose of recognising the contributions of its industry partners for Global Meeting Industry Day (GMID), G Hotel Gurney was announced as the winner of PCEB’s Global Meeting Industry Day (GMID) 2018 Social Media Campaign. G Hotel Gurney has earned the highest number of social media posts with 245 posts on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for the campaign.

Also, G Hotel Kelawai was presented with The Bizz Awards by WorldCOB for demonstrating business excellence in the region. Companies must obtain 90 points or more to be considered exceptional organisations and business people in the region. Their research team carried out the assessment based on a one hundred point scale, using criteria such as Managerial Leadership, Quality in Goods and/or Services and Business results, certifications and other recognitions to name a few.

To top it all, G Hotel Kelawai once again made a name for itself by receiving a Recommended on HolidayCheck 2018 certificate. This recognition was presented by HolidayCheck, the largest German-speaking hotel review and travel website. With a remarkable rating of 5.7/6, G Hotel Kelawai strengthens its brand image for being “Iconic, Exclusive and Stylish”.
