Recognized for product innovations and service excellence, Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”) garnered four accolades from two hospitality industry’s leading awards.

Galaxy Macau™ and StarWorld Hotel are named the “Best Service Resort Asia” and “Best Service Hotel of Asia” respectively at the Golden Horse Award of China Hotel, and continue to hold the title of “Top Ten Resort Hotels of China” and “Top Ten Glamorous Hotels of China” respectively at China Hotel Starlight Awards. Mr. Francis Lui, Vice Chairman of GEG, also received the award of “China’s Top 10 Hoteliers of the Year” at the Starlight Awards in recognition of his contributions to the hospitality industry.201403251211_35e48c0f_2

The entire company is thoroughly encouraged by the prestigious recognitions awarded to the two flagship properties. Mr. Gabriel Hunterton, Deputy Chief Operating Officer of Galaxy Macau, said, “What makes Galaxy Macau unique is that it is the only truly integrated resort in Macau. With three world-class hotel brands: the five-star Galaxy Hotel™, Japan’s legendary Hotel Okura Macau, and the awards winning Banyan Tree Macau, together with our Grand Resort Deck, with the world’s largest Skytop Wave Pool and a 350-ton white sand beach, the widest selection of pan-Asian cuisine under one roof, our UA Galaxy Cinemas, and China Rouge, our exclusive performance lounge.  The awards are not only the reflection of our services and offerings, but it is also an acknowledgement of the hard work and contributions from over 10,000 dedicated team members at Galaxy Macau.”

Mr. Charles So, Deputy Chief Operating Officer of StarWorld Hotel, extended his heartfelt gratitude to the collective effort from the team members and associates. He said, “Since its debut in 2006, StarWorld Hotel has gradually built up a hospitality brand that enjoys wide recognition not only in Mainland China but also in the pan Asian region. To achieve this great success, we need to think ahead of the needs of our customers and be proactive, which is why we always strive to exceed expectation by constantly elevating our services and facilities to the next level.”

Committed to enriching the tourism offerings of Macau, GEG endeavors to introduce a diversity of entertainment and resort facilities to the city. Galaxy Macau Phase 1 brings together 3 of the world’s leading hotel brands, namely Galaxy Hotel™, Hotel Okura Macau and Banyan Tree Macau. Galaxy Macau™ Phase 2, upon its targeted completion by mid-2015, will bring to Macau a variety of leisure and entertainment amenities, including the addition of two new luxury 5-star hotels including the Ritz-Carlton’s first all-suite hotel and the world’s largest JW Marriott, an expansion of MICE facilities, and additional food and beverage outlets. Meanwhile, Galaxy Macau Phases 3 and 4 are already in the final stage of planning and preparation. The projects will further enhance the city’s tourism offerings with an investment of HKD50 to 60 billion on non-gaming facilities.

Situated in the heart of Macau’s dynamic entertainment district, StarWorld Hotel is the first five-star flagship hotel of GEG. Offering a diverse mix of world-class accommodation, entertainment and leisure amenities, StarWorld Hotel has garnered over 40 accolades since its opening. In addition to being recognized as the “Best Service Hotel of Asia” at the Golden Horse Award, StarWorld Hotel is also honored with, for the fifth year, the “Top 10 Glamorous Hotels of China” award at the China Hotel Starlight Awards Ceremony for its outstanding achievement.
