To celebrate the coming of spring Mandarin Oriental, Paris is offering new cocktails and culinary delights in its courtyard garden. Now open daily from 7am – 2am, this lush urban oasis is an ideal spot for savouring dishes served by Bar 8, the hotel’s intimate bar, and Camélia, its all-day restaurant where Chef Marx creates Asian influenced fine French cuisine.
Camélia’s new spring menu features delicious recipes such as ‘Crab cannelloni with fennel and pea soup’ and ‘Roasted turbot, with leek and Vin Jaune sabayon sauce’. Desserts include seasonal, homemade ice cream bars and ‘Vacherin sundae’ made with a red fruit sorbet, vanilla ice cream, meringue and red fruits.
In addition to the garden’s conventional dining spaces, guests can reserve the beautiful, birdcage-style ‘La Table du Jardin’, where six people can enjoy fine dining secluded by greenery.
Favoured by the chicest Parisians, the garden is the perfect setting for an evening drink with friends. Guests can choose from the hotel’s selection of pink wines, such as the famous Côte de Provence Rosé Château Peyrassol, which is served in a spectacular Jeroboam. Alternatively, they can enjoy one of the new cocktails created for sunny days, including ‘The New Bloody Mary’, which is a liquid nitrogen tomato sphere covering a mix of tomato water, Worcestershire sauce, tabasco, celery salt and Belvedere vodka. Refreshing granitas, such as ‘Virgin Mojito’, are offered too.
