Garuda Indonesia Shines At The Airline Amenity Bag Awards

Garuda Indonesia, the airline of Indonesia, was named the world’s best ‘Best Unisex First Class Bag’ and ‘Best Unisex Business Class Bag for Asia-Oceania’ at the Airline Amenity Bag Awards.

The third annual TravelPlus Airline Amenity awards were held last week in Hamburg, Germany, bestowing top honours to the world’s top airlines including Garuda Indonesia.

Commenting on the new accolade, Pak Uun Setiawan, Vice President for Garuda Indonesia Australia and SWP said: “Garuda Indonesia continues to invest in our premium product offering to enhance the travel experience for our passengers. Recognition of our amenities kits is an honour, and a result of the ongoing commitment by Garuda Indonesia to deliver outstanding services to our passengers at every touch point of travel.”

Garuda Indonesia Business Class passengers are given amenities kits containing L’Occitane products known for their quality and revitalising properties, with ingredients sourced from Provence, France. Made from high-quality materials, the business class amenity bag has been designed to enrich our passenger’s experience during and after their flight, using the finest of Provence’s natural plant extracts.

Garuda Indonesia were awarded by a focused judging panel of frequent flyers and leisure travellers including Susan Ward Davies, Travel and Lifestyle Director, Elle Magazine UK and James Airm Associate Publisher, Travel Daily Media UK & Middle East. The judging adheres to the TPLUS criteria – Trend, Pleasure, Luxury, Usability and Style, all from the traveller’s perspective

Exceptional door to door service, including in-flight amenities and services, is part of the airline’s “Quantum Leap” program, a multi-tiered expansion and improvement program through which Garuda Indonesia aims to be a five-star airline by 2015. OnMarch 5th Garuda Indonesia officially joined the SkyTeam global alliance, a key milestone in Garuda Indonesia’s long-term development strategy and expansion.
