A passionate hotelier with over 13 years’ experience working for major international hotel groups in the UK, Australia and New Zealand, Sam marks  more than ten years with AccorHotels with his first general manager appointment at Novotel New Plymouth.

No stranger to the Novotel brand, Sam comes to New Plymouth from his previous role as Executive Assistant Manager at Novotel Queenstown Lakeside, where he spent over 18 months further establishing his strong leadership skills and hospitality experience.

In his new role at Novotel New Plymouth, Sam will manage AccorHotels’ newest property in the country and plans to work closely with the local community and tourism partners to introduce and build the presence of the new hotel in New Zealand and abroad.

“I’m really excited to have the opportunity to make my mark as a general manager at Novotel New Plymouth,” said Sam.

“It’s not every day that a new hotel is built in New Zealand and it’s my ambition to successfully run and operate the hotel to the highest international standards. I’m currently in the process of hiring of around 70 team members as one of my first jobs and enjoying the challenge so far.

“Pleasingly forward bookings for 2016 are already shaping up to be strong for the hotel and I can’t wait to welcome our first guests through the door this November,” concluded Sam.
