Visitors travelling to Brisbane for the 138th Annual Royal Queensland Show (Ekka) in August can take advantage of a special discount on airport transfers thanks to Airtrain.
Created for Ekka visitors, the Airtrain promo code provides savings of up to 20 per cent, with a single return ticket from the Airport to Brisbane city costing just $25 ($12.50 one-way). This is substantially less than the cost of the $43 one-way average taxi fare equivalent during peak and off peak times.
Airtrain is the fastest, easiest and most cost-effective way to reach Brisbane from the Airport. Trains depart every 15 minutes from the city in peak periods and every 30 minutes in off peak periods to the airport in only 24 minutes.
To secure your Airtrain transfers, simply head to www.airtrain.com.au, follow the booking prompts and enter promo code EKKA2015 on the payment page and press ‘update’ before proceeding to payment type. This code will be valid for trips between 31 July and 17 August.
For those making a last-minute dash to the show, the Airtrain service is available direct to Ekka from the airport. Visitors must disembark at Fortitude Valley Station station located only a short walk away.
For those not attending Ekka, Airtrain offers a raft of other savings which reward customers who book in advance. For example, travellers can save up to 15 per cent if they book online seven or more days before travel, with one-way fares as low as $14.45.
Travelling in tandem? Passengers can share the sights and costs from the Airport to the city with the City Duo savers offering trips for only $27 one way for two people. Web group fares are also available via online purchase for groups of three or four passengers. Adult groups of five passengers or more pay only an additional $9 each online.
