Research by leading travel & lifestyle site shows nearly 1 in 3 Australians have never booked a holiday for their partner. Despite this, 77% of women and 72% of men admit they would like their partner to take them away on holidays more often.

The statistics also shows there is definite advantages to couples taking time out together, with 92% of Australians believing travel can spark romance in a relationship.

Plus, when travelling 85% of Australians admit to being more spontaneous, and four-out-of five people say they are more likely to have spur-of-the-moment sex with their partner than when at home. Oh la la.

According to spokesperson, and regular romantic escape traveller, Louise Ryan, the research shows that many Australian couples are secretly hoping their partner will book a trip so they can create more holiday memories together, but unless someone takes the initiative it’s not actually going to happen.
