October 7, 2017 Theme Parks No Comments Email Email

Get ready to scream, as a spell is cast across Disneyland Resort in California’s two Theme Parks, with monsters and madness bringing the Halloween festivities to life.  Fun and adventure awaits every visitor, whether they are first time visitors or have been many times before.  The daring Halloween themed experiences, décor and frighteningly refreshing food and beverages commenced this year on the 15th September and will continue up until the 31st October.

David Clark, Head of Travel and Business Development AU/NZ at the Walt Disney Company, said,

“Halloween at Disneyland just keeps getting bigger and better! We have a range of new additions and updates to ensure visitors enjoy the spooktacular fun with us.  With the return of fan favourites, it is truly an experience like nowhere else!  This year’s celebrations expanded to include Disney California Adventure Park.  Cars Land got a major makeover, introducing Radiator Screams, with the characters and attractions dressing up for the occasion.”

The Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! attraction is transformed at night into Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark.  The Collector’s Fortress goes dark, alarms sound and all-new lighting on the exterior of the Fortress alerts guests that something inside has gone awry. The creepy chaos of creatures on the loose, Rocket scheming to save Groot and the all-new 1970s-style punk rock song, “Monsters After Dark,” adds to the high-energy action.

Jack Skellington is back offering visitors his unique take on the holidays at Haunted Mansion Holiday, featuring the annual Holiday gingerbread house decorated with goolish goodies.  Popular attraction Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy blasts guests into uncharted and haunted sections of the universe, as ghosts try to snatch riders from their seats.  Whilst Oogie Boogie has taken over Disney California Adventure Park, with his silhouette beckoning guests through the main entrance.

Mickey’s Halloween Party, is always a hit! And this year for the first time Disney California Adventure Park is featured as part of the pre-party mix-in.  Guests can ‘Trick N Treat’ before enjoying the exclusive entertainment on offer including Halloween Screams fireworks spectacular and the Frightfully Fun Parade.
