Peregrine Adventures has launched its 2015 Arctic season with five brand-new itineraries and one final ever opportunity to voyage to the North Pole by ship.

A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity awaits even the most seasoned traveller on board the50 Years of Victory – the world’s largest and most powerful icebreaker and the only ship taking passengers to the North Pole. The 50 Years of Victory will be setting sail on its last passenger voyages to the top of the world next year. This is the only chance to walk on the ice 90°N and soar above the world in an optional hot air balloon ride (weather dependant). unnamed (5)

One of three voyages on board the 50 Years of Victory is available in June 2015 from $32,000 and passengers can secure free charter flights from Helsinki, Finland to Murmansk, Russia (a saving of AU$2025 per person) if the trip is booked by 15 May 2014.

Tromso, Bear Island and Longyearbyen – venture from Tromso in Norway deeper into the Arctic Circle past iconic fjords and discover the rarely-visited Bear Island, an important bird area, before spending time searching for Arctic wildlife in Spitsbergen.

Greenland’s Far North – an in-depth exploration of the Thule region, known for its untouched icescapes and sparsely populated Inuit communities, great chances of seeing seals, walruses, humpback whales and narwhals await.

Iceland Circumnavigation – a land of geological extremes, an expedition around Iceland offers unrivalled natural diversity, from volcanic landscape and lava fields to gushing hot springs and cascading waterfalls.

These new itineraries feature alongside Peregrine’s classic Arctic journeys to Svalbard, Greenland and the Canadian Arctic.
