Tune in to Getaway over the next three weeks to watch David Reyne’s adventure through Canada on Scenic’s luxurious Eastern Explorer tour from Toronto to Montreal. The Nine Network will be screening three full half hour episodes on Saturday 1, 8 and 15 July.

The first episode airs on Canada’s 150th Anniversary of Confederation and sees David’s journey begin in Toronto. Here he meets a local guide who shows him the sights, including a visit to the historic Casa Loma and CN Tower where he fearlessly steps out onto EdgeWalk, the worlds highest, full circle, hands free walk, around the Towers ledge.

Only an hour and a half hour’s drive away is one of the major tourist attractions in the world, the imposing Niagara Falls, here he witnesses the magnificent roar of the falls. The final stop is at Lake Ontario, where David wanders through the manicured streets of Niagara On The Lake.

Welcome to Ottawa where the following episode sees David visit the country’s bi-lingual capital. A modern city with a French passion, cruise along the river and take in the city’s landmarks. David stays at the spectacular Fairmont Chateau Laurier, and takes a Scenic Freechoice tour of Byward Market, with guide Stefanie. Next stop is a Scenic Enrich activity, a visit to Parc Oméga – home to bears, wolves, wapitis, red deer and beavers before a night at the marvelous Le Chateau Montebello, exclusive to Scenic guests.

The last instalment takes places in Montréal, Canada’s second largest city and the second largest French city in the world. David explores the old town and visits the Notre Dame Basilica, Place d’Armes and sees part of the Berlin Wall before inspecting the ritzy Fairmont Queen Elizabeth Hotel. Scenic guests will also stay in the iconic Fairmont Câateau Frontenac, where Franklin D. Roosevelt and Winston Churchill planned D Day during World War II. Next stop is at Montmorency Falls where the zipline is the main attraction before enjoying authentic, gourmet delicacies on a walking tour of Québec City.

Scenic is giving viewers the opportunity to win a 9 Day Eastern Explorer tour for two departing 18 May 2018, worth over $19,000. Included in the prize is return economy airfares from Australia and all activities, sightseeing and exclusive events. To enter the competition, starting Saturday 1 July, visit Winner will be announced on on Thursday 20 July 2017.
