Glamourpods: An Online Collective of Independent Jewellery & Fashion Designers from Around the Globe

September 27, 2013 Lifestyle No Comments Email Email

Glamourpods brings together leading independent designers from across the globe, offering an online shopping platform for something special.
Officially launching today, the collections of design-led items, including jewellery, leather-craft and fashion accessories, is now available online at www.Glamourpods.com.

Glamourpods is the creation of three women, Amy Malik, Liz Wombell and Ming Ng, who came together as friends, and later as business partners, each with a passion for all things beautiful and a desire to gather fresh and fabulous items that create individuality.

“We believe that everybody should be able to express themselves through fashion; with Glamourpods’ plethora of independent designers we can help our customers to achieve this. We see Glamourpods as a commune for shoppers seeking unique, contemporary and creative pieces. Focusing on up-and-coming designers, rather than established ones, shoppers are introduced to some truly different and exciting craftsmanship rather than the designs you see in any shopping malls or high-street stores. You will rarely find the same piece worn by others on the street or at a party. The collections are varied and diverse, with something for everyone. They include London-based Hop, Skip and Flutter’s porcelain range of jewellery and De Anna Kiernan Jewellery’s unisex range, as well as Hong Kong-based Bejewelled Bespoke Designs, Dulce Rocks and Laykh,” says Malik.

Fans will be able to chat about the pieces with designers through the Glamourpods platform, allowing a personal connection between the final creations and their designer that is often unseen in the fashion industry.

The current portfolio of designers include ABO London, All Things Indulgent, Becky Dockree Jewellery, Bejewelled Bespoke Designs, Brandts Jewellery, By Emily, De Anna Kiernan Jewellery, Dulce Rocks, Elemento 126, Emi & Eve, Hop Skip and Flutter, Jo Bell Jewellery, Just 3, Laykh, LW Leather Works, Shloka, Ting Low, Vicky Forrester and Yuki Sasakura Assiter Jewellery.

The marketplace allows shoppers to browse through products and designers easily, attainting the perfect piece with free delivery within Hong Kong in seven to nine days only. Glamourpods also has a fourteen-day return policy upon arrival of the products, provided that it is still in working condition, unless it is a customised or hygiene sensitive item.

Glamourpods works in partnership with stylish independent boutiques and galleries to create a physical channel whereby shoppers can try on selected pieces and meet the team. The next pop-up will be on Thursday, 10 October 2013, at Helena May, 35 Garden Road, Central, Hong Kong.

In celebration of the new launch, every new account sign up till Wednesday, 16 October 2013, will automatically be entered into a prize draw to win the Infinity set by Elemento 126.
