Glion Alumnus Wins Best Professional Success Award

Glion Institute of Higher Education alumnus, Frédéric Schaub, e-commerce manager France for Marriott International, won Best Professional Success at the MKG Group’s 14th Annual Worldwide Hospitality Awards ceremony in Paris November 12.

A Swiss national, Schaub was recognised as a young professional distinguished by his academic results as well as his promising and successful career in the hospitality industry. He earned his diploma from Glion in 2009.Sidebarcbc_468x220

“I am honoured to receive this award from industry leaders and also proud to represent the excellence in education I acquired at Glion,” said Schaub. Glion courses in international hotel management are reputed to be among the best in the world, and my education has undoubtedly contributed to my international career advancement and success.”

Every semester, Glion students attract great interest from industry. More than 50 representatives from the hospitality industry, including highly reputed brands such as Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, Starwood Hotels and Resorts, InterContinental, Four Seasons Hotels, Marriott International and Hyatt, visit Glion to recruit from their graduating class. With more than 80 per cent of students employed or with multiple offers upon graduation, Glion has an education model that is proven to be successful and relevant to the industry.

More than 850 guests attended the 14th annual Worldwide Hospitality Awards ceremony, which took place at InterContinental Paris – Le Grand. The awards celebrate the innovation and the exemplary initiatives taken by hotel companies globally. Winners were selected by a jury of international hotel executives and leaders in business, communication and tourism.

Glion Institute of Higher Education is ranked the second most prestigious hospitality school, according to a 2010 survey conducted by one of the world leaders in research and analysis, Taylor Nelson Sofres (TNS).
