Travel technology leader Sabre Corporation is taking airline passengers to the clouds, announcing today that it will deliver even faster cloud-based, flight availability using solutions built on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud.
The explosive growth of mobile and higher consumer expectations for faster online searches continue to raise the bar for airlines to deliver a seamless online shopping experience. Leveraging the AWS Cloud, Sabre will offer airline availability solutions that will help carriers increase booking rates and deliver even faster responses. Using Sabre’s new availability services in the cloud, airlines and their customers will benefit from faster shopping. And by relying on a single-source delivery of a cloud-based system, airlines can manage availability for different channels through one source. Working with Sabre, carriers will house their availability data in the AWS Cloud which can then be accessed via multiple shopping channels, whether carrier website, online or offline travel agency, or other source. The new cloud-based solution will be available to Sabre’s customers later this year.
