Globus and Cosmos explore regional Italy with exciting new tours announced

Mouth-watering pizza, world-class wines and charming country scenery will take centre-stage on Globus family of brands’ five new Italy tours, which were announced today as part of the 2018 European brochure release for the Globus, Cosmos andMonograms brands.
The five new Italy tours join an exciting list of 18 new tours throughout Europe across all three brands, and include a special homage to Globus in celebration of its 90th birthday with its Top of Switzerland tour priced from $1,928 – 1928 being the year Globus founder started transporting guests across Lake Lugano in Switzerland.

The variety of new European offerings are designed to suit travellers whether they are looking for a carefully crafted travel experience with Globus; a fuss-free Cosmos experience offering freedom and flexibility; or an independent, VIP experience with Monograms.

Highlights of the new Italy tours include sampling a local pasticcioto and almond coffee in Lecce, taking a boat cruise in the ancient city of Motya or spending a night in the picturesque Cellino San Marco.

Globus family of brands National Marketing Manager Chris Fundell said Italy was a clear choice when it came to selecting where they would venture next, with regular client feedback pinpointing this destination as one they would like to explore more thoroughly on repeat European visits.

“Italy has been part of our Globus and Cosmos itineraries for many years but these new options allow our guests to explore both the must-see areas such as Rome, Florence and Venice, but also go beyond this and experience the sights, sounds and tastes of rural Italy,” said Mr Fundell.

“Italy is one of those places that often features on people’s bucket-lists and with these new tours, which vary from seven to 10 days in length, we’re making sure we help our customers not only tick off those dream experiences but really immerse themselves and discover Italy’s local secrets and characters with our ‘Local Favourites’ excursions and offerings.

“Our new Italy journeys venture down the south of Italy, not as commonly explored, right into the ‘heel of the boot’ and even into beautiful Sicily.”

• Rome, Florence & Venice: seven days Rome to Venice
• Apulia, The Heel of Italy: eight days Naples return
• Venice, Slovenia, Croatia & Montenegro: 11 days Venice to Dubrovnik
• Highlights of Andalusia: eight days Costa del Sol return
• Postcard from Portugal: eight days Lisbon to Oporto
• Norwegian Fjord Explorer: 11 days Oslo return
• Idyllic Iceland: eight days Reykjavik return
• A Taste of Russia: 10 days Moscow to St Petersburg

• Enchanting Europe: nine days Amsterdam to Zurich
• Spectacular Spain: eight days Barcelona to Costa del Sol
• Hidden Treasures of Southern Italy: nine days Naples to Sorrento
• The Sicilian: 10 days Palermo to Taormina Riviera
• Top of Switzerland: six days Zurich return
• The Croatian: 11 days Zagreb to Dubrovnik
• The Best of the Balkans: 17 days Dubrovnik to Athens

A 10 per cent early booking discount is available on select Globus tours valid until 28 November, 2017.

Independent touring brand, Monograms, has also released two new experiences:

• Lisbon and Oporto: seven days
• Barcelona, Madrid, Lisbon and Oporto: 13 days

Monograms is offering AUD$200 off selected stays per couple valid until 28 November, 2017.
