Goa-kenna fast, kenna slow

egtmedia59Goa-sometimes fast, sometimes slow, with the Portuguese word ‘kenna’ for ‘sometimes’, is the new brand of India’s coastal hotspot.

The brand was unveiled as part of Goa Tourism’s new website launch at Goa International Travel Mart (GITM) 2014 on 2 April.

Mr Nikhil Desai, Managing Director, Goa Tourism Development Corporation and Director Tourism, Government of Goa, said: “We’re working on rebranding and repositioning Goa as a quality sustainable destination that appeals to more Free Itinerary Traveler (FIT) s. We’re in the process of drawing up a tourism master plan for development and are in parallel executing many projects. ”Beach at Fort Aguada, Goa

New visitor friendly website www.goa-tourism.com presents a fresh new branding that appeals to all kinds of visitors to this contrastingly diverse destination. With chill or thrill, party or pray, Goa is either soothing or exciting.

Water sports,cruising, motorcycle taxis, exuberant nightlife with bars and discotheques, night markets and casinos make for fast paced attractions in this laidback beach-front city lined with forested mountain range. Watching lifestyle at adjoining villages of farming and fishing community is a pleasant pastime here.

Mr Desai said: “With ancient churches and temples, Goa is a place for spiritual and Hiring a two wheelers is a good way to move around Goareligious tourists. We’ll further develop wellness facilities.”

The event calendar, which Goa Tourism is rigorously working on to make Goa a year-round cultural and happening destination, features prominently on the site.

Mr Ralph De Sousa, Chairman, The De Souza Group said: “Goa gets 46 percent repeat clients, the highest in the world. Classical dance festival, International Film Festival of India, Sunburn music festival, Harley-Davidson H O G(Harley Owners Group) Rally are all gaining popularity among tourists.”

The interactive website lets the online visitor choose attractions to add to his/her trip cart and make his own itinerary based on the extensive information and imagery provided on the site.
