  • Denali National Park: Travelers visit Alaska’s signature national park, named for and dominated by the towering peak of Denali, the tallest mountain in North America. Local wildlife includes bears, moose, Dall sheep, and abundant birdlife, such as golden eagles.
  • Kenai Fjord National Park Cruise: Travelers spend a day cruising along the stunning coastline of Kenai Fjords National Park, which encompasses over 900 square miles of wilderness. Migratory whales, including humpback, gray, minke, and orca, make their home here among the ancient glaciers during the warmer months of the year, as well as sea lions, otters, and other marine creatures. Birdwatchers will delight as puffins zip along above the water’s surface, and bald eagles soar through the blue skies above.
  • Dog mushing experience: In the wild expanse of Alaska, locals rely on teams of trusty sled dogs to help them navigate the fields of snow and ice that blanket rural Alaska throughout much of the year. Travelers visit a working kennel to see firsthand how these loyal creatures are trained and cared for, and learn about the role they play in Alaskan life, even in the age of more modern forms of transportation.
