Italy’s most stylish sneaker brand, Superga®, has chosen Grand Hotel Tremezzo in Lake Como to showcase an exclusive customised edition of their iconic tennis shoe.
Available in the historic hotel’s elegant signature colours: burnt orange, white and black, this bespoke version of the famous Superga 2750 model, which has been in production since 1925 is available to purchase in the new T Shop, which opened this Summer season. Superga® is famed for being “the shoe of the Italians” and its most famous design, the 2750, was the first tennis shoe in the world made with a natural vulcanized rubber sole.
Lake Como’s luxurious Grand Hotel Tremezzo is proud to announce this exceptional partnership with Superga®. The Turin-born brand also chose the beautiful hotel on the lake to shoot their new ad campaign for the Superga Panatta Sport model, a remake of 1976 tennis shoe worn by tennis champion Adriano Panatta when he won Roland Garros, the Davis Cup and the Rome International grand slams.
Earlier in the spring season, Grand Hotel Tremezzo’s sleek tennis court, framed by ancient parkland and gardens, was transformed into the film set for the new digital campaign created to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Panatta’s victory at Roland Garros. The filming was perfectly timed to coincide with this year’s transformation of the hotel’s 25,000 sqm of lush parkland by celebrated landscape architect, designer and botanist Emilio Trabella – responsible for Lake Como abodes Villa Balbianello and Villa Oleandra (home of George Clooney).

The park also features the glamorous newly refurbished Flowers Pool and the Panoramic Path, a peaceful garden track ideal for exercising in the early morning – just remember to don the ultimate pair of Superga sneakers to walk in true Italian style!
