Tonight Grand Hyatt Melbourne will celebrate 30 years of Excellence in service and care, in true Grand style, with a party set to take guests on a journey back in time!

Guests will be taken on a visual and culinary journey throughout the hotel, with surprises and delights to be expected around every corner. Beginning in our stunning hotel lobby, guests will be welcomed by a 50 piece orchestra as they make their way back to the hotel’s heyday into the iconic Monsoons nightclub, which has not been accessible to guests for almost ten years.

Birthday celebrations will be in full swing, with performances by The Mad Hatters and Jackson Thomas, food and beverage created by Executive Chef Jason Camillo, and finally, the grand birthday moment with the cutting of a two metre tall birthday cake.593225_num1189273_600x600

Of course the party does not end there, because when good calls it a night, grand calls for another round. Guests will then be invited up to our breathtaking suites on the 33rd floor for an unforgettable interactive dessert buffet where they can enjoy the sweeping 360-degree views of Melbourne for a Champagne toast to 30 years of operations for the iconic Collins Street hotel.

“Tonight is a great opportunity to bring together our wonderful clients, friends, colleagues and owners to celebrate what has been an incredible 30 years for Grand Hyatt Melbourne,” says Ilan.

“I am so proud of everything this hotel has achieved, from when I first arrived here in 1999 to the current day. I feel very honoured to have been a part of this extraordinary journey.”

From 1986 until the current day, the spirit of the hotel still shines brightly; a spirit that embodies sophistication, style and above all, genuine hospitality.
