Taipei’s largest hotel is focusing on its littlest guests with the launch of three family-themed packages.

Grand Hyatt Taipei is rolling out a getaway all about kids learning, an explorer package aimed at getting guests more easily out and about, and a revamped kids glamping experience that opens up indoor tent stays to all suite types.

Family Adventure Package

Guests between the ages of three and six can sleep in a tent for two with the Family Adventure Package. The glamping set-up includes all the camping essentials: featherbeds and pillows; a battery-operated lantern; plush toys and a drawing board (that children can take home); a picnic table; and a planetarium projector, which brings the twinkling stars of the night sky inside. As well, it’s temperature-controlled, there is room service, parents can sleep in their own separate king-bedded room, and housekeeping will clean it all up in the morning. The added service is available for guests staying in any of the hotel’s suite categories for an additional NT800 (USD 25) per night. Reservations must be made at least three days in advance. Prices start from USD 467 per night.

Awesome Kids! Package

The highlight of the new Awesome Kids! Package is two tickets to the city’s only exclusive children’s museum, KidsAwesomeChildren’s Museum of Taipei, that spans three levels and has 13 different themed areas with activities like zip lining and bouldering and building rockets or shopping at the farmer’s market. Other package perks include an expansive daily buffet breakfast at Café, with an abundance of dishes from around the world, an NT2000 approx (USD 30) spa credit towards any 90-minute facial, massage or spa journey at the hotel’s Oasis Spa, one complimentary mini bar per stay, and an upgrade to the next room category. Prices start from USD 355 per night.

Explore Package

Increasing the ease of hopping on and off local transport, guests of the Explore Package get one NT500 (USD 15) EasyCard per registered guest that can be used on the city’s MRT or bus system. Late checkout of 2pm is also included so visitors can spend more time exploring the city. Other highlights include daily buffet breakfast at Café, and a welcome drink at the guest’s choice of Ziga Ziga, the hotel’s Italian restaurant that transforms into a club in the later hours, or Cheers, an all-day dining restaurant and bar. Prices start from USD 310 per night.

Summer savings aren’t restricted to families. Visitors to Taipei, not taking part in a special package, who book a trip before August 27, 2019 and travel from now till September 2, 2019 will receive 20% off when they book a stay at least seven days in advance.
