Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay Hotel Unveils the Finishing Touches of Its $20 Million Makeover

Following the completion of a $16 million rooms renovation in late 2012, Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay is proud to debut the highly anticipated final phase of its $20 million transformation.

With the introduction of 1823 Kitchen and Bar, Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay has added yet another opportunity for delectable dining to its already impressive lineup, which includes two of Tampa’s most renowned restaurants: Oystercatchers and Armani’s. Paying tribute to the year that Tampa was founded, 1823 Kitchen and Bar has quickly become a favorite gathering spot for both locals and guests. Located in the hotel’s refreshed lobby, the restaurant’s high-back leather chairs and up-lit sconces create a grand setting for a comfortable meal. To start the day off right, diners can choose from an a la carte menu or a bountiful breakfast buffet. Lunch and dinner menus offer something to please every palate, from superbly prepared salads, soups and sandwiches to premium steaks and fresh seafood. 1823’s lounge offers a relaxed area to enjoy a cocktail or a signature starter. Indoor seating with three large-screen televisions is available for catching a favorite sporting event, and outside, the bar overlooking the pool is an ideal spot for grabbing drinks before a night out, having an impromptu meeting with friends or taking a nightcap.

The final phase of Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay’s renovation also included the addition of an innovative tech lounge. Located in the hotel lobby and open to all guests free of charge, the tech lounge specifically caters to the needs of today’s on-the-go-but-always-connected business travelers who seek more informal settings to gather and conduct business. Guests will find plenty of plush, comfortable seating, a large community table for laptops and strategically placed outlets for charging all of their devices. High-speed wired and wireless Internet is available as well as two desktop computers, which are free for the first 15 minutes of use. Of course, for those mixing business and pleasure, servers can easily deliver food and beverage orders from the adjacent lobby bar.
