Great Golf Courses of Australia (GGCA) and multi million dollar Chinese travel wholesaler Sichuan CYTS (CYTS) today announced the signing of an MOU that will facilitate the promotion and sales of Australian Golf tourism to the western China region.

The bilateral MOU facilitates access to CYTS’s elite business and luxury networks, which will expedite the distribution of Australian golf product to 80 million+ residents of western China.

Elizabeth Sattler, Director of Great Golf Courses of Australia was excited to announce the new partnership in Chengdu today:

“Sichuan CYTS is widely recognized as a leading provider of international travel services in western China’ she said

“Our partnership with CTYS will enable us to tap into business industry groups, golf club members, media and travel trade networks that have previously been inaccessible.

Given the marketing, promotion and distribution opportunities created by this partnership GGCA will be in a strong position to establish Australia as the leading outbound golf destination for the western China market”

“Today’s partnership is the beginning of a long term golf strategy in China. We anticipate similar partnerships will be established in a number of maturing golf regions in-market, which will continue to build brand recognition and sales of the Australian golf tourism product in China.” Said Ms. Sattler.

Steven Wang, director of Sichuan CYTS was delighted with the announcement.

“We are thrilled to be the first Chinese company to sign an MOU to promote and sell Australian golf experiences in western China” he said.

“Our partnership with GGCA and China’s increasing interest for golf travel experiences will position Sichuan CYTS as the leading Golf Travel expert in the western China region.”

We are exited about the opportunity to access Australia’s best golf courses and package this high end product with leading wine, food and tourism experiences in Australia” Mr. Wang said.

Great Golf Courses of Australia operates in collaboration with Australia’s premier golf courses, Tourism Australia, and State Tourism Offices aimed at leveraging Australia’s golf tourism product to tap into the International Golf Tourism market, an industry worth over $US26 billion to the globally economy annually.
