Green & Black’s is excited to announce the launch of The Green & Black’s Conscious Café, in celebration of its new Smooth dark chocolate range in Australia. Launching on 12 September, at Cremorne’s renowned Glasshaus, Green & Black’s will bring an ethical and indulgent dining experience to the public, Green & Black’s Conscious Café. The Café will offer visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in a three-course sensory menu inspired by the new Green & Black’s Smooth dark chocolate range. Green & Black’s is a brand which appeals to people’s consciences as well as their taste buds. Green & Black’s sources cocoa through Cocoa Life, an industry-leading, independently verified programme that supports sustainable cocoa farming to deliver social and environmental change in farming communities. The new Green & Black’s smooth dark chocolate range is passionately crafted 70% dark chocolate that is rich in cocoa content and exceptionally smooth in flavour, for an indulgent experience and delicious taste.

To bring the Conscious Café concept to life, Green & Black’s has partnered with a collective of like-minded Australians who share a common ethos of ethics and indulgence. Renowned zero-waste chefs, Matt Stone and Jo Barrett, as well as one of Australia’s most recognisable furniture designers, Mark Tuckey, will collaborate with the brand to bring this ethical and indulgent pop-up experience to the public.

The four-day event will include a three-course zero waste menu, with matching wines, curated by Matt Stone and Jo Barret, featuring an array of Green & Black’s chocolate inspired dishes. Mark Tuckey will create exquisite bespoke furniture for the Conscious Cafe which will be scattered amongst the beautiful living green garden of Glasshaus and an abundance of seasonal florals.

Green & Black’s collaborators, Matt and Jo, are incredibly passionate about local and quality produce in both their values and their work. Today, Matt is the Head Chef at the esteemed Oakridge in the Yarra Valley and Jo is Head Pastry Chef and Senior Sous-Chef, and together they are earning some serious applause in their respective fields. They have a strong reputation for their commitment to the zerowaste movement and for elevating simple, ethically -sourced produce.

Mark Tuckey designs beautiful timber furniture with integrity, simplicity and strength using recycled and sustainability managed timbers, with all pieces having a touch of elegance and style.

Through the Conscious Café collaboration, Green & Black’s has also partnered with aid agency, Save the Children in Australia. The organisation is dedicated to supporting children to reach their full potential. Specifically, $60 from every ticket sold will go directly to Save the Children’s Hands on Learning Cafes Program in Australia.

Hands on Learning is an innovative education program that caters to the different ways young people learn. Students in the entrepreneurial Cafés Program establish a café catering to the needs of their school community, which helps enhance their capacities in communication, project management and organisation. Money from the Green & Black’s Conscious Café will support the sustainability of the program and enable Hands on Learning to double the footprint of the its Cafes over the next year.

For four days only (12 September – 15 September) the public will be able to visit the Green & Black’s Conscious Café at Glasshaus Cremorne.
