Now, business travelers can enjoy this traditional comfort of home while on the road, thanks to the return of the “best for business” brand’s Best Brews? & BBQ. After a successful pilot program last year, Four Points has reintroduced the low-key, laid-back Wednesdayevening receptions and expanded them to all of the brand’s North American hotels.

“The Four Points guest is often pressed for time on the road, with little opportunity to socialize, much less to really experience the destination,” said Brian McGuinness, Starwood’s senior vice president, specialty select brands. “Best Brews & BBQ gives even our busiest guests the chance to sample authentic local flavor in the form of a great craft beer and enjoy a short break with colleagues and other travelers without leaving the hotel. Feedback from last year’s pilot indicates we’ve hit on a winning formula, and we’re excited to expand the program throughout our North American hotels this year.”

Hosted by hotel general managers, the midweek meet and greets invite guests to gather in the hotel’s backyard and pool area (in select destinations) to indulge in complimentary BBQ-style appetizers and an ice-cold local craft beer from Four Points’ Best Brews selection. A typical menu includes BBQ favorites like pulled pork sliders, brisket or grilled shrimp skewers; baked beans or coleslaw on the side; and a traditional picnic dessert. Some hotels have even put a global twist on BBQ with Korean, Brazilian and Polynesian BBQ experiences.

Four Points’ brand-wide Best Brews? program gives guests a chance to sample authentic local flavor in the hotel bar. Each hotel’s featured pour is chosen for its unique flavor, popularity and quality ingredients, and is supported by a selection of imports and North American brews, both bottled and on tap. Seasonal specials put even more local brews in the spotlight and provide new experiences for return guests. This year’s “Summer Ales” highlights include Brooklyn Lager Summer Ale (Four Points Midtown – Times Square, N.Y.),Gerst Amber Ale (Four Points Nashville-Brentwood, Tenn.), Speakeasy Tallulah (Four Points San Rafael, Calif.) and Abita Lemon Wheat (Four Points French Quarter, La.)
