Growth for TravelManagers Continues with Record Sales Week

TravelManagers celebrate as their personal travel managers produce a new record in sales revenue. Sales for the week of 11-17 November was 11.5% higher than the previous best week of sales being 18-24 February.

TravelManagers’ corporate business incorporating a high level of airline sales can be attributed to the record sales week with corporate and primarily SME focussed personal travel managers who on average contribute 37% of total annual gross turnover.

DSC_8913“The TravelManagers business model caters extremely well for small corporate accounts and SME business travellers. We’re thrilled with these results as it shows the professionalism and calibre of our personal travel managers who have taken everything we’ve given them and leveraged it into sales,” says TravelManagers Executive General Manager, Michael Gazal.

Gazal sees the results as proof the corporate market is robust and confident and that demand for the personal travel manager concept is strong.

“When you’re dealing with a personal travel manager you’re dealing with the boss. They’re local, motivated and well informed. That’s why they’re proving to be so popular with corporate travellers and also why the personal travel manager model is so attractive to travel consultants. They work under their own steam, when and where they choose in addition to the remuneration being very attractive.”

TravelManagers, the only truly national mobile travel consultant host agency attributes its key to success being the personal and consistent service delivery for both leisure and corporate clients from the 420 personal travel managers across Australia.

“We have personal travel managers in licensed offices across all states and six business partnership managers state based locally ensuring our personal travel managers throughout the country have access to the broadest and most in-depth support and infrastructure. We make it our business to invest in the talent of our personal travel managers with training, famils, technical support and mentorship, amongst other things,” says Gazal.

Ric Pattaro, a corporate focused personal travel manager in Haberfield – NSW, says the work-life balance has been the biggest bonus.

“When I worked for an agency I lost a lot of time travelling to and from work. I now have more time and the freedom to deal directly with my clients at a time that suits us both. Also TravelManagers understands that if I succeed they succeed, so there’s plenty of business support and technical assistance. I’m part of a network that keeps me informed at all times so I’m constantly up to date.”

TravelManagers is well on its way to reaching the 500 personal travel managers milestone.

“We’re expecting these sales figures to further cement our standing in the industry and we are also expecting more interest in our business model from travel agency owner/managers looking to lower their operating costs and improve their income. Travellers are aware of the success of the personal travel manager concept so we’re going to need more people to meet demand” says Gazal.
