GuestLogix Inc. , the leading global provider of ancillary-focused merchandising, payment and business intelligence technology to airlines and the passenger travel industry, today announced a multi-year renewal agreement for the continued fleet-wide use of the Company’s retailing technology across KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. This agreement with the Netherlands’ flag carrier also includes the deployment of handheld POS device upgrades which are now being leveraged to support the carrier’s onboard duty free retailing. With this signing, GuestLogix reaffirms its position as the leading retail technology provider to the global airline industry as well as protects its European footprint.

“Our team has worked closely with KLM to ensure that our leading retail technology will support the carrier’s evolving needs and initiatives,” said John Gillberry, Chief Executive Officer, GuestLogix. “With this renewal and technology upgrade, we have implemented our PCI-compliant handheld POS devices onboard KLM to provide a secure, reliable solution that will support duty free retailing across the airline’s entire fleet. We are pleased to have retained this major European customer’s business and to have once again demonstrated our commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction.”

KLM has relied on GuestLogix to provide secure payment acceptance, innovative retail solutions and committed customer service, which ultimately led to the signing of this renewal agreement.

“GuestLogix has proven its dedication to innovation and to maintaining our business by providing a flexible solution that caters to our requirements,” said Anna Ketting, Director Inflight Retail & Media, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. “At KLM, we aim to deliver a contemporary and enjoyable experience that meets the needs of the modern traveller. As a customer of GuestLogix, KLM has access to the Company’s complete portfolio of end-to-end solutions, and will have the option to transition to the Company’s smartphone and tablet POS solutions in the future, enabling crew to use a single device to access crew information and manage onboard retailing.

“As we continue to support KLM, we will explore opportunities to deploy additional solution components that align with the carrier’s forward-thinking vision and approach to technology,” said Patrick O’Neill, EVP Global Operations, GuestLogix. “We are delighted that the airline has chosen to advance our relationship, and we look forward to supporting KLM’s retailing strategy for years to come.”
